**Terms & Conditions**

These Terms and Conditions govern the vehicle transport services provided by Central Cars & Transport Ltd (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”). By booking our services, you (“the Customer”) agree to be bound by these terms.

**1. Services**

1.1. We provide vehicle transport services across the North Island, New Zealand, including but not limited to cars, motorcycles, and light trucks.

1.2. Our services are door-to-door unless otherwise agreed in writing.

1.3. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion, including but not limited to vehicles that are unsafe, overloaded, or not as described.

**2. Bookings & Payment**

2.1. All bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

2.2. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

2.3. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the vehicle.

2.4. Payment is accepted by bank transfer only. Account details will be provided upon booking confirmation.

2.5. Quoted prices are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

2.6. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the vehicle details provided are inaccurate (e.g., size, weight, condition, or accessibility).

**3. Vehicle Requirements**

3.1. The vehicle must be available and accessible at the agreed pickup location and time.

3.2. The Customer must ensure there is adequate access for our transport vehicle at both pickup and delivery locations.

3.3. The vehicle should have a minimum of 1/4 tank of fuel.

3.4. All personal belongings must be removed from the vehicle prior to pickup. We are not responsible for any items left in the vehicle.

3.5. The Customer must disclose any known mechanical faults, damage, or issues with the vehicle at the time of booking.

3.6. Non-drivable vehicles must be declared at the time of booking so appropriate arrangements can be made.

**4. Vehicle Condition & Inspection**

4.1. We will conduct a visual inspection and photograph the vehicle at pickup and delivery.

4.2. We will photograph and document the vehicle condition at pickup and delivery. This documentation will be considered an accurate record of the vehicle’s condition.

4.3. Any pre-existing damage must be disclosed prior to transport. Undisclosed damage identified at pickup will be documented and is not our responsibility.

**5. Liability & Insurance**

5.1. While we take every care in transporting your vehicle, vehicles are transported at the owner’s risk.

5.2. We strongly recommend the Customer maintains comprehensive vehicle insurance that includes cover for “in transit between places in New Zealand.”

5.3. Our liability is limited to damage directly caused by our negligence during the transport process.

5.4. We are not liable for:
– Pre-existing damage or mechanical faults
– Damage caused by undisclosed vehicle conditions
– Damage resulting from inadequate access at pickup or delivery locations
– Loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle
– Delays caused by weather, road conditions, ferry cancellations, or other circumstances beyond our control
– Consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, or other indirect damages

5.5. Any claims for damage must be made in writing within 24 hours of delivery, accompanied by photographic evidence.

5.6. Our maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the transport fee paid for that booking.

**6. Timeframes & Delays**

6.1. Pickup and delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

6.2. We will make every reasonable effort to meet agreed timeframes but are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, traffic, road closures, mechanical breakdown, or ferry cancellations.

6.3. We will notify the Customer as soon as practicable of any significant delays.

**7. Cancellations & Refunds**

7.1. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time will receive a full refund of the deposit.

7.2. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time will incur a 15% cancellation fee, deducted from the deposit.

7.3. No-shows or failure to provide access to the vehicle at the agreed location will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

7.4. If we cancel a booking for any reason, the Customer will receive a full refund of any payments made.

**8. Customer Responsibilities**

8.1. The Customer must provide accurate information regarding the vehicle, pickup and delivery locations, and contact details.

8.2. The Customer must ensure they have the legal authority to arrange transport of the vehicle.

8.3. The Customer must notify us immediately of any changes to the booking details.

8.4. The Customer is responsible for any fines, tolls, or charges incurred as a result of unpaid road user charges or registration issues with the vehicle during transport.

**9. Privacy**

9.1. We collect and hold personal information for the purpose of providing our services.

9.2. We will not share your personal information with third parties except as required to complete the transport service or as required by law.

9.3. By booking with us, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy.

**10. Disputes**

10.1. Any disputes arising from our services should be raised with us in writing in the first instance.

10.2. We will endeavour to resolve disputes fairly and promptly.

10.3. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

**11. Amendments**

11.1. We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

11.2. The current version will always be available on our website.

11.3. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any amendments.
